In this paper the features of automatic generation control (AGC) based on CC\|2000 platform and the control modes and control strategy applied by AGC of North China power grid after the interconnection of North China power grid with Northeast China power grid are presented. It will be an inexorable trend that to apply control mode based on the tie\|line frequency deviation to AGC in interconnected power grids and bulk and to perform the AGCs and their assessments by CPS standard of NERC. It is suggested to carry out thorough study on adopting CPS standard to the control of AGC in inteconnected power grids and bulk and their assessments.
