ANALYSIS AND CALCULATION OF TRANSMISSION TRANSFER CAPABILITY CONSIDERING SOME INFLUENCING FACTOR

A mathematical model considering the influences of generator reactive power limits, ULTC and SVC on the transmission transfer capability between areas is established. A method to calculate and analyze the transmission transfer capability between areas is proposed in which the influences of generator reactive power limits, ULTC and SVC are taken into consideration. Taking practical power system for example, a lot of simulation and calculation are carried out. The calculation results show that the transmission transfer capability between areas will be reduced while only the generator reactive power limits or ULTC is taken into account, but the transmission transfer capability between areas can be improved while the action of the three influencing factors are simultaneously taken into account. To find out the measures to increase the transmission transfer capability between areas of interconnected transmission systems, the proposed method can be used as a reliable analysis method and the foundation of decision-making.
