POWER SYSTEM FAULT DIAGNOSIS BY USE OF ENCODED PETRI NET MODELS

The diagnosis method for discrete dynamic system is applied to power system and the power system fault diagnosis method based on encoded Petri net is further researched. Taking a transmission line for example, a Petri net model with the object of the line is established and the redundant places are introduced to supervise the status of the places of the previous Petri net. All of the possible faults which may occur in this line are analyzed and a new fault mapping method is proposed. Combining with the error-correcting theory and using the parity check matrix and error syndrome, the status of places in Petri net is verified and corrected. The constitution of the key matrix, i.e., the generation matrix, is given. The results of simulation and calculation show that using this method the simulation is fast, the calculation is simple and by use of error-correcting theory the diagnosis accuracy can be improved, so this method is suitable for real-time on-line monitoring system.
