POWER SYSTEM SECURITY AND ITS PREVENTION

HAN Zhen-xiang, CAO Yi-jia (College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310027, Zhejiang Province, China)  
Power system security and its recent development is introduced. Based on the analysis of various factors influencing power system security and current technological developments, some strategies are proposed to enhance power system security and to prevent the blackouts. Some views on the future research methodology and directions are also presented.
