SIMULATION OF EXCITATION CONTROLLER OF SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR BASED ON ITERATIVE LEARNING CONTROL LAW

Based on iterative learning control theory a nonlinear iterative learning control law is proposed and applied to excitation control of synchronous generator. Using the Simulink toolbox in Matlab the simulation for single machine infinite bus system and that for two-machine system are carried out. Simulation results show that the proposed control method is effective and versatile and the terminal voltage of generator can be maintained on constant value. Compared with traditional PID controller and linear iterative learning control law, the convergence speed of the proposed control law is visibly higher and the stability of power system could be improved by use of this control strategy.
