Research on Large Customer Response Under Time-of-Use Electricity Pricing Policy Based on Multi-Agent System Simulation

To enhance the effectiveness of electricity time-of-use(TOU) pricing,it is necessary to thoroughly research the price response mechanism of customers,especially that of large consumers.For this purpose,the multi-agent simulation is led into this paper.In simulation process the price response is regarded as the results of dispersal decision-makings of numerous customers and the power supply company have to possess the ability to dynamically adjust the pricing policy according to customers’ responses.Here,the authors expound the designing principle and architectural framework of multi-agent simulation system,in which following issues are included: the customer agents are designed by use of responsive agents and based on fuzzy logic their response rules are established;the power supply company agent is designed by use of learning agent and its learning rules is implemented by classifier learning algorithm;the environment management module manages the interaction process between the two kinds of agents.Taking an actual power company for example,the simulation results of a case study are given.
