Summary and Comments on IEEE PES 2005 General Meeting:Electricity Market and EMS Part

FU Shu-ti (China Electric Power Research Institute,Haidian District,Beijing 100085,China)  
In this paper the control center and EMS parts of IEEE PES 2005 General Meeting are summarized. The construction of spare control center, application of visualization technique, application of multi-agent technology in EMS design, anti-accident exercise for large scope blackout and the research on restoration control and so on are presented. The operating experiences of power systems in USA, existing problems and its solution methods as well as the trend of development in RD are analyzed and it is pointed out that which part of experiences are suitable for our country, which part of lessons we should learn in order to avoid similar mistakes or traps. This summary can be used as reference to improve power system operation and research works in this country.
