A Study on State Estimation Mode for Self-Healing Control of Power Grid

To match up to the appearance of the concept of self-healing power grid, it is necessary to develop a new method for power grid state estimation. Combining the process state estimation for operation control with cross section state estimation for on-line monitoring, the concept and model of process-oriented state estimation are proposed. By means of estimating the state of characteristic cross section of the process during a certain operating time period within a minute, the power grid operating condition within the operating time period can be accurately and overall described, so the contradiction between the fast measurement and slow decision-making can be solved. In the same time, the state estimation of cross section under changed measurement triggering mode is proposed, in which the state estimation of cross section is triggered by the variation of measured quantities and good effect of on-line monitoring is obtained, and complete state estimation mode for self-healing power network is given. The comparison between the results of calculation examples estimated by the proposed process state estimation method and by traditional state estimation method shows that both the analysis in this paper and the proposed model are correct and superior.
