An Adaptive Petri Network Based Approach to Diagnose Power Network Faults

An optimized model,in which the action situation of circuit breakers and protective relayings as well as the adaptation indices of assumed faults are taken as objective function,is built. Combining the analysis method of adaptive Petri network(APN) with power network fault detection methods and by means of analyzing the set of time label and in fault reasoning process and transition flag,comparing the flag change of faulty element,the action situations of protective devices are evaluated;thus the analyzing units can recognize the real faulty element from the set of elements that may possibly be in trouble. By use of changing the enable sequence of basic units,the value of above-mentioned objective function is calculated,so the diagnosis and recognition of power network faults are implemented. Simulation results of partial network of IEEE 118-bus testing system validate the correctness and effectiveness of above-mentioned model. The proposed method is fast,simple and easy to realize,and its network analysis capability is acceptable.
