PMU Configuration Scheme of Regional Power System and Simulation Based Dynamic Voltage Stability Evaluation of Substations

By use of power system analysis software Power World the power flow of a certain regional power network is simulated; from this the nodes and zones with weak voltage stability are found out, and an optimal configuration scheme of phasor measurement units (PMUs) in this regional power network is proposed. By means of identifying equivalent impedances with recursive least square method, the voltage stability of this regional power network is evaluated by dynamic simulation, so the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed optimal configuration scheme of PMUs is validated. It is also pointed out that whether the nodal voltage is stable or not can be judged by the index of impedance modulus ratio.
