Structure Analysis and Control of Wind Power Generation in VSC-HVDC

According to power transmission adopting voltage source converter based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC),a structure of variable speed dc wind generation system based on permanent magnet DC synchronous wind power generator,uncontrolled rectifier and boost circuit is proposed. Firstly,a new type of wind farm with parallel-series structure is given; then a simplified model of minimum series system is built and the relation between output voltage and output current is analysed by use of maximal wind energy tracing algorithm based on the control using the product of DC voltage multiplied by DC current. Simulation results show that the two generation units in the minimum series system can operate simultaneously without interaction,and output voltage varies according to the variation of output power,meanwhile,both generation units possess better maximal wind energy tracing ability and speed.
