Application of Image Recognition Technique in Monitoring System for Converter Station

Several warning mechanisms based on image recognition are put forward according to present situation of video-frequency monitoring system for converter stations. The main recognition objects of fault detection warning mechanism are equipments; the main recognition object of safety and burglary prevention warning system is person and main recognition object of natural calamity warning mechanism is the integrated environment. The principle, concrete procedures and ways of the image recognition are presented. It is pointed out there is a wide application prospect of image recognition technique in China, however, that it is just in the start-up period for the research of integrating image recognition technique into monitoring system for converter station.
