An Interior-Point Optimal Power Flow Algorithm Using Coherent Function to Surrogate Nonlinear Inequality Constraints

To speed up the solution of power system optimal power flow problem,an optimal power flow algorithm, in which the coherent function method is utilized to surrogate nonlinear inequality constraints,is proposed.In view of the fact that there are many nonlinear inequality constraints included in mathematical model for optimal power flow,and especially during the computation of optimal power flow in large-scale power grid a lot of computing times are consumed to cope with nonlinear inequality constraints,in this paper many nonlinear inequality constraints are replaced by a surrogate coherent function,therefore the dimensions of the matrix for the computation of optimal power flow of large-scale power grid can be reduced greatly,and then it can be solved by interior point method.Simulation results of IEEE 14-bus system,IEEE 30-bus system,IEEE 118-bus system,IEEE 300-bus system and IEEE 2 383-bus system show that the proposed algorithm possesses such advantages as rapid convergence,fast iteration and so on.
