Structure-Variable Bayesian Network for Power System Fault Diagnosis Considering Credibility

The existing Bayesian network power system fault diagnosis is influenced by complicated structure of power system and information uncertainty of protective relays and circuit breakers, it leads to complicated network model and incorrect diagnosis results. A kind of improved structurevariable Bayesian network power system fault diagnosis considering credibility is proposed. Firstly, after searching suspicious faulty components according to fault information and power grid connection analysis, the fault patterns based on related protective relays and circuit breakers are used to construct Bayesian network models. Secondly, the credibility of protective relay and circuit breaker action events in Bayesian model are estimated and taken into improved formula of Bayesian probability to determine faulty component and identify mal-functions or rejections of protective relays and circuit breakers. Simulation tests illustrate that the proposed method is effective in power system fault diagnosis.
