A Robust Scheduling With Multiple Types of Power Sources Based on Optimal Scenario Set

To deal with inherent stochastic nature of wind power, concept and implementation framework of robust scheduling for power systems are presented and a robust model with multiple types of power sources is constructed. The model takes into consideration operating mode switch of pump storage units and derated state of nuclear units. On this basis, calculation method of operation cost, wind curtailment cost and load shedding cost is determined. Meanwhile, uncertainty set is optimized with purpose of the lowest total cost. Taking a provincial power grid as example, advantages of robust scheduling in reducing load shedding and improving utilization ratio of wind power are verified. Economic benefits of optimal uncertainty set are also validated.
