ANIMPROVEDOPTIMALFLOWPATTERN ALGORITHM FOR DISTRIBUTION NETWORK RECONFIGURATION

An Improved Optimal flow Pattern(IOFP)algorithm for distribution network reconfigu-ration is presented in this paper.Voltage dependentload model is considered in this algorithm,and onlyone loadflow calculation is needed to determine whichswitch should opened.So the amount of calculationis reduced down to 50%while at the same time the ac-curacy is improved.Anovel single loop load flow algo-rthm is presented to determine the optimal flow. Lossreduction due to reconfiguration is estimated with asimple formula. Digital tests were carried out and the results showed that the IOFP algorithm is good and the calculation speed is very fast,it can be applied in a real time environment.
