STUDY ON IMPROVED ALGORITHM FOR FREQUENCY MEASUREMENT BASED ON FOURIER FILTER

This paper has developed an improved practical frequency tracking algorithm which is based on traditional Fourier filtering method and analyzes the deviation carefully by use of the power system frequency transient model. This new method reduces the influence of time response of Fourier filtering on frequency measurement and improves the accuracy of transient frequency measurement. Both the programming and calculation are easy, the results from simulation and practical application show that this algorithm can meet the need of frequency measurement of power system automation equipments.
