THE PARTIAL STANDING WAVE IN THE EXPERIMENT OF DETERMINING VELOCITY OF SOUND BY STANDING WAVE METHOD

The partial standing wave exits in the experiment of determining velocity of sound by standing wave method because the amplitude of a reflected wave is less than that of a forward wave.Actually,it is a superimposure of standing wave and a traveling wave.
