MEASURING METAL LINEAR EXPANSION COEFFICIENT USING INTERFERENCE AND DIFFRACTION OF LIGHT

This paper introduced a method of how to measure the metal linear expansion coefficient using interference and diffraction of light.In light interference,metal linear expansion coefficient can be measured by counting the numbers of interference pattern according to the metal temperature,while in light diffraction,it can be calculated by measuring diffraction stripe space based on the the metal temperature.This experiment can strengthen the students' hands-on ability and inspire their innovative consciousness.
