3D Numerical Simulation of Enhanced Tube Characteristics in Fluent

Transversally corrugated tube,converging-diverging tube(including sharp converging slow diverging converging-diverging tube and sharp diverging slow converging converging-diverging tube) are two typical enhanced tubes,Their Nu-number,Nu resistance coefficient f,integral performance μ has been studied by solving the 3D N-S equations and energy equations using the Simple methods and the standard k-ε turbulence model in Fluent,Otherwise,the values of Nu,f and μ when Reynolds number is 20000,40000,60000 has been analyzed to show their changes with the Reynolds.We find out that the order of the integral performances of these tubes is transversally corrugated tube,sharp converging slow diverging converging-diverging tube and sharp diverging slow converging converging-diverging tube.
