EFFECT OF HIGH PRESSURE ON MAGNETIC BEHAVIOR OF Zn_(1-x)Mn_xO

Samples with nominal composition of Zn1-xMnxO prepared by a standard solid-state reaction method were processed under different high pressure. The microstructure of the obtained samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Effect of pressure on ferromagnetic behavior was studied by the measurement of magnetization. The results show that the appropriate pressure can reinforce the magnetism of the samples,however,the ferromagnetism would be decreased when the pressure increases to a higher value.
