Spatial and Temporal Disparities Analysis of Counties Economy Based on Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis in Jiangsu

KOU Cheng;
Combined the ESDA method with the GIS data visualization technologies, we analyzed the counties' economic development situation of Jiangsu form 1999 to 2009. The experiment results proved the feasibility of the ESDA method for spatial and temporal disparities analysis of counties' economy, and indicated that the unbalanced economic development of Jiangsu Province was mainly from the development difference of northern Jiangsu, central Jiangsu, and the southern Jiangsu. The economic development level of northern Jiangsu was low and that of southern Jiangsu was high. These two areas formed the low and high value of cluster centers respectively. There are their own special spatial cluster models in these three areas. The spatial cluster models in central Jiangsu and southern Jiangsu are stabilized and there are obvious cluster centers in the two areas.
