Geochemical characteristics of trace elements and their implications for the Xiayuandong ore section of Fengcun lead-zinc deposits in Qingzhou-Hangzhou metallogenic belt

The Qingzhou-Hangzhou metallogenic belt is one of the most important metallogenic belts in South China.The Xiayuandong Pb-Zn deposit is a typical reworked sedimentary-hosted hydrothermal deposit.By analyzing the trace elements of the wall rocks,we found that the content of copper in hosting limestone is relatively low,ranging from 33.8×10-6 to 1.164×10-6 with minor change at different depths,which indicates that copper has not been significantly transferred.The contents of large ion lithophile elements such as Rb,Sr,and Ba are relatively low,ranging during 4.73×10-6-35.7×10-6,4.06×10-6-521.1×10-6,and 23.04×10-6-320.6×10-6,respectively.Manganese is the most enriched among the siderophile elements,while V,Co,and Ni are relatively depleted.The total rare earth elements(REE)content(12.43×10-6-48.18×10-6)is relatively low.The value of LREE and HREE is relatively high,indicating obviously fractionated between LREE and HREE.All of the wall rocks show moderate negative Eu anomalies and weak negative Ce anomalies.Based on the Sr/Ba,Sr/Cu and characteristics of REE,it is concluded that the ancient sedimentation morphology may have been a shallow bay.Analysis of multivariate statistics showed that the trace elements can be divided into three categories,each with distinctive characteristics in its distribution.Moreover,the La/Y-Sc/Cr diagram may indicate that this area was situated on a passive continental margin during the Late Paleozoic.The contents of Pb and Zn in hosting limestone are significantly higher than the crustal abundance,which shows that it may be the source bed.
