Modified Nemerow Exponent and Application of the Water Quality Evaluation in Urban Underground Drinking Water Source Area

To overcome the shortcoming of Nemerow exponent method and the average exponent method,Nemerow exponential method has been carried on the revision.It has been changed the arithmetic mean in the formula into the weighted average.Each appraisal target weight will be determined by the inverse proportion relations according to the pollution factor hazardous nature with this pollution factor emissions standard.And improving the method will be used for the Xi'an underground drinking water source area in the water quality evaluation.The results show that improved method objectively evaluates water quality.It will provide the theory basis for the decision-making department.
