OPTICAL SOLITON AND ALL-OPTICAL SOLITON COMMUNICATION

High-data rate optical soliton communication is based on counterbalancing ofthe group-velocity dispersion and the nonlinear refractive index of the optical fiber, It will berealized because of Er~(+3) doped amplifier instead of Raman amplifier. Here we give a briefintro-duction of soliton shaping mechanism,characteristics and its application in all-optical fibercommunlcation.
