Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation of Soft Fault for Battery Energy Storage System Based on GA-BP Neural Network

Owing to the extension of energy storage battery life and the change of the environment,the battery energy storage system such as Li Fe PO4 appears in a kind of soft fault which is difficult to be diagnosed. This paper proposed a fault diagnosis method of the battery energy storage system based on genetic algorithm( GA) and BP neural network with fuzzy output. The punish angle of state of charge( SOC) and voltage deviation degree are regarded as the inputs of BP neural network,the batteries' capacity as the output of BP neural network. Four fuzzy subsets and its membership function in soft fault domain of the energy storage system are given according to the relative deterioration degree using fuzzy theory,the neural network fault diagnosis model of the battery energy storage system was set up,and GA was used to optimize the structure of BP neural network. Under the condition of the constant current charging and discharging experiments,the status of the energy storage battery was analyzed according to the different attenuation degree. The simulation results show that the GA-BP neural network with fuzzy output can achieve more accurate fault diagnosis results compared with the traditional BP neural network,which has important significance to ensure the safe operation of battery energy storage system.
