Mice sarcoma S_180 cell membranes,[γ-32]ATP and
plant polysaccharide(PPS,ASPS,TF orlentinan)were incubated together for 5 min at 30
℃,Phosphatidylinositides were extracted and isolated, and radioactivity was measured with
liquid scintillation counter. The results showed that PPS and ASPS,especially the latter, could
inhibit the phosphatidyinostol turnover obviously, while TF and lentinan hadno such effect
Combining with our previous findings that PPS and ASPS could inhibit the proliferation ofS_180
cell significantly while TF and lentinan had no such effect,we conisider that the antitumor
mechanismof plant polysaccharides(PPS and ASPS)may be related to the inhibition of
phosphatidyinositol turnover.
