Research on numerical simulation of hot isostatic pressing for turbine disk shaped by TC11 titanium alloy powder

The turbine disk with complex structure was shaped by the process of hot isostatic pressing( HIP). Two schemes of powder net shaping and powder-solid diffusion shaping were designed. The processes of the above schemes were simulated by software of MSC. MARC with the parameters of TC11 titanium alloy inserted in Shima model. The results show that the mould deformation of powder net shaping is about two times bigger than that of the powder-solid diffusion shaping. Furthermore,after HIP of the powder by powder net shaping,the density gradient distribution is obvious in the key parts,and the relative density is also lower,however,the relative density distribution of the powder-solid diffusion shaping is better than that of the powder net shaping. Therefore,the powder-solid diffusion shaping scheme is better than that of the powder net shaping scheme. The experimental results show that the hot isostatic pressing process can realize the net forming of the closed turbine disk.
