Study on Adsorption Property of Pillared Bentonite for Cr~(6+) in Aqueous Solution

Adsorption removal property of bentonite pillared by inorganic,organic,inorgano-organic substances respectively for Cr~6+ in aqueous solution was studied.The experimental results show that the Cr~6+ removal effect of pillared bentonite is higher than that of raw bentonite,and the Cr~6+ removal rates of the three plliared bentonite are 81.03%,95.41% and 85.11% respectively when the addition amount of the bentonite is 8 g/L.The adsorption equilibrium to Cr~6+ of the three kinds of pillared bentonite is reached within 60 min.The solution pH has a certain influence on the Cr~6+ removal effect,and the removal rates at acidic condition are somewhat higher than that at neutral and alkaline conditions.The Cr~6+ removal rate is decreased somewhat with the increase in temperature.
