Effects of straight flow-field geometric structure on PEMFC performance

In this paper, the effects of channel depth and width, channel minimization and distribution groove width of parallel flow-field on 128 cm2 H2-air PEMFC performance were investigated by experiments. At the same time, we have compared with the experiment results and mathematical model results and two kinds of results have the same trends in cell performance. Experiment results show that the cell performance is improved by decreasing channel width, depth and increasing distribution groove in a certain range. Higher channel density is good for improving the cell performance.
