Research of Pretreatment on Industry Extruded AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Based on Orthogonal Experiment

Industry extruded AZ31 magnesium alloy has been pretreated under different heating temperature,holding time and cooling approach,which is arranged by orthogonal experiment.Under different pretreatment conditions,the effect of pretreatment on structure and grain size of commercial extruded AZ31 magnesium alloy has been studied.Results show static recovery and recrystallization in the process of pretreatment can refine grain size.Under the condition of air cooling with holding time 20 minutes at 325℃,the grain size has been refined from the original size of 45.4μm to 26.3μm.There is a trend that the grain size is refining firstly and subsequently coarsening gradually as heating temperature increases and holding time prolongs.Meanwhile,the effect of the cooling mode on the grain size is small.
