Progress and Application of Real-time Fluorescent Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction

Real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction(Real-time PCR) is a new kind of nucleate quantitative technique invented and developed in 1990s.It detects PCR using fluorescence by real time.It has some advantages,such as high sensitivity,specificity and saving time.This article introduced the principles and characteristics of four commonly used methods that are DNA-binding dyes,hydrolysis probes,molecular beacons and hybridization probes,and summarized the application of Real-time PCR in practice.
