Advance in Anti-idiotype Vaccines in Veterinary Medicine

The use of anti-idiotypic antibody as a vaccine with its unique forte opens a new avenue for the prevention of diseases.Anti-idiotype vaccines can elicit not only humoral immunity but also cellular immunity,and have been used in animal to trigger the immune system to induce specific and protective immunity against viral,bacterial,and parasitic infections.In recent years,the results from animal studies indicated that anti-idiotype vaccines could produce enough immunity and had a great potential in both research and clinical application.
