Effect of Two Different Media on Mouse Macrophages Cultured in vitro

ZHANG Ming,ZHU Dao-yu (Department of Life Science,College of Heze,Heze,Shandong,274015,China)
To establish an economic and convenient method of in vitro for macrophage culture.Abdominal cavities of mice were douched using DMEM medium and RPMI-1640 medium without serum, and the douched cells were drawn out and cultured in DMEM medium and RPMI-1640 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum. The phagocytic activities of macrophages were checked. The survival rate and stratification rate of macropages were determined in vitro by using Typan blue. The results showed that survival rate, stratification rate and phagocytic activity of macrophages cultured in vitro in DMEM were all higher than that in RPMI1640.DMEM can be used as a simple and practical medium for separation and cultivation of mouse macrophages in vitro.
