Effects of Epimedium Polysaccharide on Immune Organs and Immune Effects of Newcastle Disease Vaccine

Vaccine immunization is the important measure of preventing and controlling infectious diseases and the adjuvant is one important part of vaccine.It is very important to select suitable adjuvants which not only enhance immune effects of vaccines,but also improve animal resistance.In this research,chicks were immunized with the vaccines prepared with the emulsified material of different concentrations of 50,100,150 g/L Epimedium polysaccharide and inactivated Newcastle disease virus.Antibody titer and immune organ index were detected to investigate the effect of Epimedium polysaccharide as an adjuvant on the immune function of chicks.The results showed that the concentrations of 100 g/L and 150 g/L Epimedium polysaccharide could accelerate the development of antibody,increase the spleen index,but the effect on the index of Bursa of Fabricius was not obvious.
