Land Use Dynamic Change in Chengdu City Based on Remote Sensing and GIS

The land use dynamic change between 1995 and 2000 in Chengdu City was analyzed by using remote sensing and GIS here.The transfers took place mainly between cultivated land and construction residential land,cultivated land and forestland,forestland and grassland,waterbody and cultivated land in Chengdu City.The cultivated land decreased about 10972hm2.The forestland decreased about 2220hm2.The grassland increased about 8042hm2.The construction residential land increased about 4830hm2.The waterbody increased about 323hm2.The decreased cultivated land was changed into the construction residential land,grassland and forestland.The construction residential land as well as the total populations,the third possessions population,GDP for industry,GDP for the second possessions and the third possessions increased in meantime.The first possessions population as well as the cultivated land decreased in meantime.
