The Analysis of Spacial Centralized Character of Settlements at Peiligang Culture Period in Henan Province

Settlements pattern is an important study of settlement archaeology and environmental archaeology.By the spacial model analysis of the settlement pattern,the spacial pattern of settlements and the relationship between settlements can be displayed,which can provide some references for us to understand the area culture newly.Using spacial model analysis function of GIS technology,this article analyses the spacial character of settlements of Peiligang Culture Period in Henan Province.The conclusion is that the settlements of Peiligang Culture Period is a centralized character of the space in Henan Province,and it has two center settlements(one is Xiangyang Site in Tangzhuang Town,Dengfeng City,the other Agangsi Site in Macun Town,Wuyang County).At the end of this article,we analyze the possibility of the two sites being center settlements by the means of contrasting the two areas of settlements.From the result of the contrast,it can be thought that Xiangyang Site and Agangsi Site are the centers of settlements of the Peiligang Period in Henan Province.
