Sonochemical Synthesis of Nano Phase MgFe_2O_4 Powders

LU Wei-zhong, LIU Bo, YOU Xin-kui, LI Jun-qin (Science College, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen 518060, China)  
Synthesized were nano and spinel MgFe2O4 powders by the sonochemistry method. The phase identification, crystallinity, and morphology of the prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission election microscopy(TEM) and infrared spectrometer(IR). The results show that the prepared samples are nano and spinel MgFe2O4 powders which have high purity , good crystallinity and narrow particle size distribution when Mg:Fe mol ratio is 1:2, ultrasound frequency is 20.81 kHz and reaction time is 50 min.
