Preparation and electromagnetic characteristics of Ni_3Al/polyester composites

The powders of Ni3Al were synthesized by high-energy ball milling and annealing processing,then it was introduced into polyester matrix to be the Ni3Al/polyester composites.The complex permittivity(εr) and permeability(μr) of the Ni3Al/polyester composites were measured by the coaxial method in the frequency of 0.03~3.25 GHz.The reflection loss and matching frequency were calculated from measured data using theory of the absorbing wall.It is found that the composite materials exhibit an considerable microwave absorbing property in some band range,electromagnetic wave absorption(RL10 dB) in the frequency(1~3.25 GHz).
