Application of Precursor Synthesis in Preparation of Perovskite Ferroelectric Ceramics

The precursor synthesis is a new method for preparing A(B 1 x B 2(1- x) )O 3 known as B site composite perovskite It's basic principle has been expounded in combination with foreign literatures and practice of present paper authors, First precursor (B 1 x B 2(1- x) )O 2 or (B 1B 2)O 4 has been synthesized by B 1 and B 2 oxides, then perovskite A(B 1 x B 2(1- x) )O 3 single phase compound has been done by the precursor and A oxide. Distinguishing features of the precursor method are that the perovskite phase purity can be improved to a great extent by bypassing formation of pyrochlore phase, submicron powder can be obtained and it's technological process is quite simple. These feature lead to wide application future of this method in industrial production of ferroelectric and piezoelectric ceramics.
