Design of PXI-1553B module based on FPGA

1553B bus has been widely applied as its high reliability,anti-jamming and flexible expansion ability. In order to test the electronic equipment and electric system with 1553B interface,we usually have to equip the 1553B interface module in the test system. This paper introduces a design of PXI-1553B module based on FPGA. The module can be used in the communication between PXI bus test system and 1553B equipment,to carry out the test of equipment with 1553B interface. Both PXI bus interface and the protocol control of 1553B are implemented in a FPGA chip with Verilog HDL. The hardware structure of the module is simple,and with high integration and reliability. The experiment result shows that PXI-1553B module can complete the data communication with high reliability.
