Tao Yan\ Gao Zhenmin (Open Laboratory of Ore Deposit Geochemistry, Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guiyang 550002) Jin Jingfu\ Zeng Lingjiao (Chengdu University of Technology, Chengdu 610059)
The Xiangzhong (central Hunan) area is a world\|known antimony metallogenic province , hosting a great number of antimony deposits, of which the Xikuangshan\|type is most important. Study on the source of ore\|forming materials for the Xiangzhong antimony deposits has arouse a hot discussion. Based on Sb contents of the strata and the relation with magmatic activities, as well as the isotopic characteristics, this paper shows that the ore materials were derived mainly from the rising plutonic fluid associated with Late Yenshanian\| Early Himalayan tectonic\|magmatic activities.
