The research progress on numerical analysis method of initial geostress

Initial geostress field is one of the most important factors in earthquake prediction and geotechnical designs.According to the initial geostress measurement results,with the numerical analysis method used,the initial geostress field of the calculation area can be obtained.Some typical analytical methods of initial geostress are classed and concluded in this discourse.The disquisitive actuality in the world are introduced.The applying bound and the opinion of each method are given and the analytical direction of initial stress is suggested in this paper.
