A Control and Protection System for the Automatic Test Equipment of TWT

A control and protection system for an automatic test equipment of traveling wave tube(TWT) is introduced in this paper.In this system,an industrial computer is adopted as the master platform and Single Chip Microcomputer(SCM) is adopted as the slave computer to make real-time control and protection,which supplies the calibration voltage for high-voltage power supply of TWT and the timing signal for modulator.Furthermore,the sample protection of all kinds of data are realized.The visual basic language is used in industry computer software and C language is used in the slave computer software.The software structure is modulized.A friendly interface for automatical test of TWT is provided in this system.
