As there is no unified standards of failure for the soil float resisting anchor rod test, the parameters of pulling-resistance are discrete, which often led to incorrect design. In this paper several typical pulling tests of anchor rod are stated. The limitation and some unreasonable clauses of the related current standards of failure are analyzed, and suggestions are given for modifying the standards of failure.
