A FLAC~(3D) ANALYSIS OF SURROUNDING ROCK OF SPILLWAY TUNNELS AT ZIPINGPU HYDROPOWER STATION

In hydropower station project,diversion tunnel often transforms into spillway tunnel.This paper took Zipingpu hydropower station as a case.Based on the simplified structure of rock mass,FLAC3D numerical modeling technique is used to analyze systematically the distribution features of the secondary stress field,strain field and plastic zones in the surrounding rock mass of the underground cavities after excavation,which is compared with the data collected in the process of tunnel excavation.The result provides basic information and reference for the evaluation of underground cavities stability and project construction.
