Manufacturing Technology of High-precision CFRP Reflector

CFRP devices are more and more widely used in radars.An advanced method of manufacturing the high-precision MW reflector is briefly introduced in this paper.The high precision master die and CFRP mold are designed and manufactured first.Then on the basis of the CFRP mold,CFRP prepreg with good performance and fine technology is selected.Based on prepreg layup method design and molding parameter optimization,the high-precision CFRP reflector is made by autoclave process technique.CRRP metallization is carried out at last by vacuum plating technique.The reflector is characterized by 400 mm aperture diameter,0.039 mm accuracy and only 0.9 kg total weight(more than 80% weighter than the aluminum reflector).
