A Synchronous Acquisition System with GPS Timing

A synchronous acquisition system with GPS timing is used to accurately synchronize dada acquisition in different places.The hardware includes the Motorola GPS receiver,ADLink PCI9820 acquisition card and Xilinx Sparten3E FPGA,and the programming language is VC6.The principle of the system is to use the PPS(Pulse per Second)generated by the GPS receiver to trigger PCI9820 acquisition card.In addition,the logic of the synchronous trigger is realized by the Xilinx FPGA.The experimental results demonstrate the accurate synchronization capability of the system.
