ANALYSIS OF TECTONIC EVOLUTION IN THE EASTERN SECTION OF THE GANGDISE MOUNTAINS,TIBET AND THE METALLOGENIC POTENTIALITIES OF COPPER GOLD POLY METAL

ZHENG You ye,WANG Bao sheng,FAN Zi hui,ZHANG Hua ping( 1.Faculty of Earth Resources,China University of Geosciences,Wuhan Hubei 430074,China; 2.Tibet Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development,Lhasa Tibet 858000,China )
The geological, geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing comprehensive studies show the big ore prospecting potentiality is contained in the eastern section of the Gangdise Mountains,Tibet. The ore deposit is mainly of porphyry type and exhalation type.It falls into four kinds of metallogenic series related with tectonic evolution:magmatic type(Cr,Pt,Cu,Ni) and exhalation type(Cu,Pb,Zn,Ag) ore deposit series with relation to Neo Tethys oceanic crust subduction action;epithermal low temperature type(Au,Ag,Pb,Zn,Sb),altered fractured rock type(Au) and skarn rock type(Cu) ore deposit series with relation to arc continent collision;porphyry type(Cu,Mo), cryptoexplosion breccia type(Cu,Au,Pb,Zn), shear zone type(Au,Ag,Sb) and skarn rock type(Cu,Fe) ore deposit series with relation to extension slip action after orogenic period. From subductive complex to the north, zoning appears to be crystallization differentiation type (separation type)-shear zone type(altered rock type)-skarn rock type, epithermal low temperature type-porphyry type-porphyry type and exhalation type-exhalation type-hydrothermal filling-replacement type. The whole body of the ore deposit is characterized by multi places from the same source, parity and poly period, hypabyssal rock from the deep source and polygenetic compound.
