Preliminary Study of ~4He Age for Groundwater in Hebei Plain:A Case of Mancheng-Renqiu Section

In this paper,the separation of the individual helium components has been performed with the unfractionated excess air(UA) model.The excess()~(4)He contained in third aquifer group is a crustal flux into the aquifer group(Q_(2)).Lacking the possibility of a well-constrained objective analysis of the parameters determining the He balance,the external flux and the velocity field are estimated in an iterative process using subjective tuning of a groundwater flow model.The()~(4)He ages obtained from this model are then compared to ages derived by using other methods including()~(14)C dating and hydrological modeling.
